JLS won a record-equaling fifth MOBO Prize yesterday – before vowing to fly the banner for UK R&B and spirit for decades to come. The greatest champion of the evening was Emeli Sande, 24, below, who grabbed three gongs, such as Best Women Act. Strategy B, 29, won the Best Men award. JLS, the 2008 X Aspect runners-up, are the only dark UK boy band to have created a lengthy lasting impact on the songs industry.
Their newest gong contributes to a lot of success such as two BRITS and five No.1 singles.
And their new history Progress looks intended to become their 4th to graph within the top two when it is launched tomorrow. Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold, Oritse Williams, 25, and JB informed the Everyday Celebrity Weekend why they were extremely pleased to be the only dark team competitive with One Route and The Desired at the top of the present maps.
Marvin, 27, said: “We have to tip our caps to Harm and groups like that who came before us.
“But we are traveling a single banner at the moment. We have always done that. It’s a pity but we do not see a competition factor.
For us, it’s just about creating excellent music and that is what we try to do.
JB, 25, said: “Music of dark source is doing so well at this time and is more well-known than ever. City performers who might not have had a opportunity before do have now, which is essential. And that is a lot to do with the MOBO Prizes and it’s also proof of us too, to go through X Aspect as an all-black team and be from the commercial perspective well-known.” You can contact at 020 7283 4040 to get the JLS Music tickets at cheap able cost.
