The Q Lifetime Achievement Award :

Life-time Success Award goes to the former front man of prog-rock management Genesis and innovative individual expert Frank Gabriel. As the artist with Genesis from his late youngsters, Gabriel was an uncommon performer, dropping his personality in a comprehensive variety of numbers and clothing.
On his making in 1976, Gabriel released on a contemporary individual career, providing three selections all with no title between 1977 and 1980. Although he acquired a hit with the first album's Solsbury Hill, it was the third which offered him the innovative and expert success he needed.

Instigating a unique drum sound - no cymbals! - the history provided the moving respect to the murdered anti-apartheid campaigner Bob Biko and the chart hit Actions Without Frontiers. But it was 1986's So that offered Gabriel his biggest success. The complicated and ground-breaking film for Sledgehammer designed the history a worldwide hit, but since then Gabriel has targeted on other projects - the efficient WOMAD occasion, the state-of-the-art Real World organizations and a wide variety of mulch-media projects. Q will pay respect to Frank Gabriel on his accomplishment.
